We recently went on a lookout for the perfect device that is capable of running Nodus USB with only a few prerequisites:
- Device needs to be portable and easy to carry.
- Device needs to support booting from USB devices or memory cards.
- Device needs to have detachable keyboard.
- Device needs to be cheap.
When we started looking we had few devices that could fit in this category and compete for the position: Microsoft Surface Go 2, Asus E210, HP Stream – 11, Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i.
We decided to test Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i because of the sleek design and 2-in-1 compact design. We have successfully installed the same Linux operating system that Nodus USB comes preinstalled with and tested all of the functionalities within the OS. After two weeks of extensive testing we came to conclusion that this 2-in-1 portable tablet PC is perfect for use with our product.
While the processor is the only true bottleneck of the device we can guarantee that it is powerful enough to fit all of the functionalities of the Nodus USB while providing very good battery life and low temperatures under load.
We are trying to test as much devices as possible and provide our users with a true hands-on experience and reviews so make sure to check for new articles and not miss anything important!
